Crown College
Rather than running one generic dual enrollment program, Crown College operates four distinct PSEO tracks: on-campus, online, a partnership track for Minnesota Christian high schools, and a homeschool partner track. Each is built for a different kind of student, which is why families comparing free college classes in the west metro keep finding their way to this Christian college in St. Bonifacius.

About the PSEO program
Rather than running one generic dual enrollment program, Crown College operates four distinct PSEO tracks: on-campus, online, a partnership track for Minnesota Christian high schools, and a homeschool partner track. Each is built for a different kind of student, which is why families comparing free college classes in the west metro keep finding their way to this Christian college in St. Bonifacius.
The core requirement is a 3.0 GPA for juniors and seniors, and Crown's deadlines run later than most: August 10 for fall and December 15 for spring, dates that have rescued more than a few students who discovered PSEO after every other college's window closed. The competitive on-campus track is the exception, with its own earlier March 1 deadline and a higher 3.25 GPA requirement.
Crown's online PSEO deserves particular attention from homeschool families and students at partner Christian schools, since the tracks were designed around those communities. Wherever you land, tuition is covered by the state and the credits go on a Crown College transcript backed by regional accreditation.
Why choose Crown College for PSEO
Four tracks instead of one
On-campus, online, Christian high school partner, and homeschool partner tracks each have their own shape, so you enroll in a program designed for your situation rather than a one-size default.
The latest fall deadline around
With fall applications open until August 10, Crown stays available weeks after most Minnesota colleges close, a genuine lifeline for students who start planning PSEO over the summer.
Built for homeschool and Christian school students
Dedicated partner tracks mean the college already understands homeschool transcripts and Christian school calendars, removing friction those students often hit elsewhere.
Online option with a personal scale
Crown is a small college, and its online PSEO keeps that scale: real instructors, manageable class sizes, and a program team you can actually reach.
Programs & courses
Online general education courses
The heart of Crown's online PSEO track: writing, humanities, and social science courses delivered fully online for students anywhere in Minnesota.
Bible and theology coursework
As a Christian college, Crown weaves biblical studies into its curriculum, appealing to students who want faith-integrated academics in their dual enrollment.
Business foundations
Introductory business courses that give career-minded students transferable credit and an early look at one of Crown's practical program strengths.
Psychology and social sciences
Standard early-college courses that satisfy general education requirements broadly while fitting Crown's discussion-oriented class sizes.
Campus & getting there
Crown's campus sits on 215 acres in St. Bonifacius, a small town on the far west edge of the Twin Cities metro near Lake Minnetonka, about 30 minutes from Minnetonka and 45 from downtown Minneapolis via Highway 7. Students in Waconia, Mound-Westonka, Watertown-Mayer, Delano, and Norwood Young America districts have the shortest drives. There is no practical transit option, so on-campus students need a ride, but the online track removes geography from the equation entirely.
Will my credits transfer?
Crown College is regionally accredited, so its credits are transferable in the standard private-college way: receiving institutions review courses individually, and mainstream general education courses like composition and psychology typically map onto gen-ed requirements at public and private schools alike. Bible and theology credits transfer most cleanly to other faith-based colleges and may count as electives elsewhere. Students who continue at Crown apply everything directly, and Crown's PSEO team can advise on course choices if you already know your target school.
