myPSEO (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Platform”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, including high school students, parents and guardians, high school counselors, college admissions staff, and program managers (collectively, “Users” or “you”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the myPSEO website at mypseo.com, our iOS mobile application, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our Services:
Student Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Date of birth
- Current high school name and school district
- Grade level (sophomore, junior, or senior)
- Cumulative GPA
- Intended PSEO enrollment term(s)
NOSR Form Data
All information required by the Minnesota Department of Education Notice of Student Registration form, including student identification information, parent/guardian information, high school information, and intended post-secondary institution and course selections.
Parent/Guardian Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Relationship to student
- Electronic signature data (name, timestamp, IP address)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access our Services, we automatically collect certain technical information:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution
- Log Data: IP address, access timestamps, pages viewed, referring URL, click patterns
- Cookie Data: Session identifiers, authentication tokens, user preferences (see Section 9)
- Mobile App Data: App version, device identifiers (anonymized), crash reports
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Social Security numbers
- Financial or payment information (our Services are free to students)
- Biometric data (other than electronic signature acknowledgments)
- Health or medical records
- Disciplinary records
- Special education or IEP/504 plan information
- Race, ethnicity, or demographic data (unless voluntarily provided)

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

- Matching students with PSEO-eligible institutions
- Facilitating digital NOSR forms
- Enabling electronic signature collection
- Providing real-time NOSR status tracking
- Powering the AI Advisor
Platform Operations
- Creating and managing user accounts
- Authenticating users and maintaining security
- Sending transactional notifications
- Providing customer support
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 NOSR Workflow Disclosures
The NOSR form is an official Minnesota Department of Education document that, by its nature, requires disclosure of student information to multiple parties:
- Parent/Guardian: Receives the student's NOSR information for review and signature (if student is under 18)
- High School Counselor: Receives the student's NOSR information to verify eligibility
- College/Post-Secondary Institution: Receives the completed NOSR to process enrollment
4.2 Service Providers
We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including cloud database providers, web hosting services, Apple (iOS distribution), and email service providers.
Information We Never Sell or Share for Marketing
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose unrelated to the PSEO enrollment process.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:

Minnesota Residents (MCDPA Rights)
Under the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (effective July 31, 2025), Minnesota residents have additional rights including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and sale of personal data.
We do not sell personal data. We do not engage in targeted advertising. We do not profile users for automated decision-making.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed for high school students, primarily juniors and seniors (typically ages 16-18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
9. Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Here's how we use them:

10. AI Advisor Disclosure
Our AI Advisor is a chatbot designed to answer questions about the PSEO program, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and institutional details.
- Conversations may be logged for quality improvement and are de-identified after 90 days
- The AI Advisor does not access your account data unless you explicitly share it in conversation
- Responses are generated based on publicly available PSEO information and our institutional database
11. Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, including college websites and the Minnesota Department of Education. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date, notify registered users via email, and display a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
