Campus & getting there

RLNC's campus is in Red Lake, on the Red Lake Nation in far northern Minnesota, roughly 30 miles north of Bemidji. Because most classes are hyflex, physical distance is far less limiting than at a typical college: students from Red Lake, Ponemah, Bemidji-area schools, and districts across the north can participate in person when they can get to campus and online when they cannot — including joining class from a room at their own high school. That flexibility makes RLNC one of the most geographically accessible PSEO options in northern Minnesota.

Will my credits transfer?

RLNC is an accredited tribal college, and its general education credits can transfer to Minnesota State colleges and universities and other institutions, evaluated course by course by the receiving school. Students planning a bachelor's degree — Bemidji State is the nearest university — should share their intended course list with that school's transfer office early. Culture and language courses may transfer as electives or fulfill diversity requirements depending on the destination, and they carry full weight toward RLNC's own associate degrees.
